Liposuction is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure used to remove localized areas of fat from the body through a small thin tube called a cannula. The fat from the targeted area is suctioned from the body through this tube to help patients achieve a slim and balanced appearance. This procedure is ideal for patients who are in good overall health but have one or more problem areas with unresponsive fat deposits.
New technologies have improved the accuracy of this procedure for both patient and doctor, and allow patients to achieve their desired results through a much less invasive procedure. Liposuction is performed through a tumescent technique, and may also include the assistance of ultrasound imaging or laser energy. Dr. Fallek will make several tiny incisions and inject a local anesthetic into the area to help expand and firm the fat, making it easier to remove. The cannula is then inserted through the incisions to suction out the fat.
No stitches are needed after liposuction since the incisions are small enough to heal on their own. The results of liposuction can be permanent, as long as patients maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) tightens the abdominal walls and removes excess skin to create a flatter contour of the abdomen. This procedure is popular with mothers who have passed their childbearing years, as well as patients who have undergone bariatric surgery, although nearly anyone who has difficulty reducing abdominal fat and increasing tone despite frequent exercise is a good candidate for this surgery.
The abdominoplasty procedure is performed under local or general anesthesia and begins with an incision along the bikini-line and the removal of the navel. Once the abdominal walls have been strengthened and repositioned, the skin flap is pulled down, stretched and cut for the new navel fixture. Supplemental liposuction can be used to smooth the transition between the new locations of the skin. The procedure is moderately invasive and requires several weeks of recovery before returning to work and even more time before exercise can be attempted.

As we get older, our buttocks may begin to droop and sag like other areas of the body. Fortunately, like other areas such as the breast and stomach, there are surgical options available for reversing these changes and returning to a tighter and firmer appearance. A buttock lift can be done by lifting the buttocks, sculpting it with liposuction, enlarging it with implants or fat, or any combination of the three.
The type of surgery performed will depend on the new look you desire. Buttock surgeries take into consideration the size, shape and skin quality of your buttocks, as well as the qualities that you desire after surgery. The actual procedure is performed as an outpatient surgery and usually takes 2-3 hours. Lift surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia. Most patients can return to work after a week to ten days, but full healing will take several months.

Brachioplasty, commonly known as an arm lift, attempts to procure a more natural and youthful look by removing the fat and excess skin hanging down from the underarms. This is most commonly requested by aging women, but some men opt to have this procedure as well. An arm lift is often performed on post-bariatric surgery patients who have lost huge amounts of weight in a short amount of time. The procedure helps to relieve patients' self consciousness in wearing short sleeves or otherwise showing their arms.
During the arm lift procedure, the incision is made beneath the arm and can extend from the elbow to the armpit, varying upon how much skin must be removed. The skin is then cut away from the rest of the arm and pulled taut around the extremity.
